Treatment of gallstones

The most prevalent method for treating gallstones is the removal of the gallbladder, a procedure known as cholecystectomy. The gallbladder isn’t essential, so that you can live normally without it.
Gallbladder removal can be conducted using a laparoscope, a slender, illuminated tube that provides a visual of the interior of your abdomen. The surgeon makes minor cuts in your belly to insert the surgical tools and take out the gallbladder. The surgery is done while you are under general anaesthesia, asleep and pain-free. The majority of individuals are discharged on the same day or the following day.
